'Exclusive Malay Hideaway'
Tanjong Jara Resort faces the South China Sea and boasts a shoreline of palm-fringed golden sand. Inspired by 17th century Malay palaces, the resort blends elegantly with its surrounding landscape and has earned the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. All rooms are crafted from fine local materials and combine intricate design with rich timber and fabric, along with picture-perfect views of the ocean or tropical gardens. Dine in one of three restaurants offering local delicacies and flavours or explore a selection of private dining experiences. Resort activities include snorkelling and diving excursions, plus guided bicycle tours of the local village; there is an award-winning spa that features a variety of traditional Malay massages and treatments that should not be missed.

- Di Atas SungeiBreakfast offers Western favourites and local delicacies. Dinner has a unique twist with no printed menus. Instead the Resort’s Menu Masters, experts in local cuisine, assist guests in crafting their own personal menu. Open from 07.00 - 11.00 and for dinner between 19.00 - 22.30.
- NelayanWhile the restaurant’s speciality is its seafood, a variety of Asian and Western dishes are served for lunch and dinner. Open from 12.00 - 17.00 and dinner between 19.00 - 22.30.
- Teratai TerraceSituated beside the Resort’s free-form pool with a view of the South China Sea, Teratai Terrace is an al fresco dining experience that offers local delicacies and simple Western cuisine in the afternoons and cocktails in the evenings. Private dining experiences can also be arranged. Open from 12.00 - 17.00 and 19.30 - 22.30.
