Location

Sugar Bay is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Historic Garrison, 10 minutes away from the Capital of Barbados, Bridgetown. The hotel is around 15 minutes away from the airport.

Located in St Vincent & The Grenadines, the journey to Palm Island (shown on the map) begins at Barbados' Grantley Adams International Airport. From there, a short 45-minute flight takes you to Union Island, followed by a quick 5-minute boat ride to reach your island paradise.

Sugar Bay Barbados

Caribbean and international flavours in a relaxing atmosphere can be found at The Reef, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet.  Meanwhile, you can find a casual outdoor bar and grill at Colin’s offering something a little different each day amongst the comfort foods and some of the very best Caribbean Rum.  Overlooking the swim-up pool bar and with views of the beach UMI serves sushi and a range of Asian cuisine.  Alternatively, you’ll find the very best cuts over at the famous Sizzle Steakhouse.

Palm Island

Sunset Grill is a casual beachfront restaurant with an extensive lunch and dinner menu including a daily changing speciality dish, with the Palm Island pizza being a very popular choice.  For a more formal experience, head to the Royal Palm Restaurant where the a la carte evening menu brings a diverse range of international and local flavours including special coconut delicacies.

Itinerary

Day One
From London Heathrow, board your direct British Airways flight to Barbados.  On arrival, a private transfer will collect you from the airport for the short journey to Sugar Bay Barbados, you’ll stay here for the next 7 nights in a Signature Room on an all-inclusive basis.

Days Two to Seven
There’s so much to experience in Barbados.  You’ll undoubtedly want to spend some time on the pristine white-sand beach at the hotel, perhaps trying out some kayaking, boogie boarding or snorkelling.  Venturing away from the sandy shores, you’ll find popular botanical gardens including Hunte’s Gardens and Andromeda Gardens, sporting activities such as horse racing, golf and, of course, cricket along with visits to the likes of Harrison’s Cave where you can hear the rushing streams amongst the stalactites and stalagmites as you travel by tram to the early explorer’s entrance to experience their adventures.  You can also take a stroll along the south coast boardwalk, a picturesque stretch with plenty of stopping points for taking photos or grabbing a cocktail along the way.

St Lawrence Gap is a nearby hub of activity where you’ll find bars, restaurants and shops, considered the entertainment capital of Barbados.  Speaking of entertainment, Friday nights at Oistins is easily the most popular event on the calendar in Barbados, where you’ll find the very best local seafood, live music, drinks and craft souvenirs – some real Bajan charm appealing to locals and tourists alike.

Day Eight
Your private transfer will take you back to Barbados airport where you’ll board the short 45-minute flight across to Union Island.  From here, a brief 5-minute boat ride will bring you to Palm Island.  You’ll stay at Palm Island in a Palm View Room for the next 7 nights on an all-inclusive basis.

Days Nine to Fourteen
Being on an island like this will instantly allow you to drift away from the hectic world we live in.  This is also a wonderful opportunity to try something new in this idyllic location.  The sea here is a perfect place for snorkelling to see the wondrous array of marine life such as turtles and stingrays - help yourself to a kayak, Hobie Cat or paddle board and simply explore.   On land, grab a bicycle and see what you can find, for the adventurous, the island boasts a myriad of activities, from exploring lush rainforests and volcanoes to discovering hidden waterfalls, coral reefs, and serene lagoons. Engage in yacht excursions, explore boutiques, visit local rum shops, or unwind in century-old cafes.

Day Fifteen
Today, we must begin the journey home.  Join the boat back across to Union Island for the short flight across to Barbados where you’ll meet your British Airways direct overnight flight to London Heathrow.
