Golf
The 9-hole, par 36, championship standard resort course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the resort.
Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora and the Dubai hotel golf course also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes. The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf and peacocks which freely roam the fairways have added a special charm to this course that is an exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
- Open to players with an official handicap certificate
- Beginners and non-golfers are not permitted to play on the course but are welcome to take lessons or use the practice facilities
- During busy periods players will be requested to make up four-ball tee time groups
- Appropriate golf attire is required at all times
- Equipment including trolleys, carts and clubs are available for hire

Players are requested to book in advance and at the time of booking, to provide information on handicap, whether playing 9 or 18 holes, preferred tee-times and contact information.

The Sunset Lounge is at lobby level and offers garden and beach views. Guests can enjoy snacks and beverages throughout the day.

A swim-up pool bar offering a range of beverages during the day, from mid-morning until early evening.

Buffet restaurant serving international food with live cooking stations. Menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner change throughout the week.

Located at JA Lake View and overlooking the whole resort to the ocean, Bibe is a cool location to hang out, drink cocktails or your favourite drink, and listen to music.
Vasco da Gama
Located at JA Beach Hotel, this lobby bar serves up signature cocktails and has live music each evening. Open to those 21 years old and above from early evening until late night.

Overview:
The 9-hole, par 36, championship standard resort course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the resort.
Designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 1998, the JA The Resort Course has hosted the world’s best players as part of the official curtain raiser to the European PGA Tour event, the Dubai Desert Classic.
Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs, and original desert flora. The JA The Resort Course also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes. The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf, and peacocks which freely roam the fairways have added a special charm to this course that is a fair and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Standard of Play
The resort is available to players of the following standard:
- Holder of an official handicap certificate (max 28 for men, 45 for ladies)
- Holder of a current playing certificate or a very experienced non-handicap player
- Beginners and non-golfers are not permitted to play on the resort course but are welcome to use the practice facilities or take golf lessons.
Speed of Play
Players are requested to play at a speed that ensures enjoyment for all other course players. To facilitate the flow of play during busy periods, players will be requested to make up into four-ball tee time groups.
Golf Carts
Golf carts are compulsory, guests may not walk the course. Electric carts and pull trolleys are available for hire.
Equipment
Quality sets of men’s, ladies’ and junior clubs may be hired for the range or course. Bag storage is available – clubs are cleaned and safely stored overnight, on request.
Attire
Appropriate golf attire is required for all players at all times. Spikeless or soft spike shoes must be worn.
Pro Shop
High-quality merchandise from some of the leading suppliers of golf, leisure and sportswear are available along with branded gifts and mementos.
Spectators
Are not normally permitted unless with prior permission and at the discretion of the Golf Director.
