Thornybush Game Lodge (shown on the map) is within the Greater Kruger National Park and just under 40 minutes from Hoedspruit's Eastgate Airport.
The InterContinental Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Hotel is located immediately in front of the airport, just a short, safe walk from the arrivals hall.
The Constance Belle Mare Plage is on the east coast of Mauritius, overlooking the Indian Ocean and set on its own beach. Just 40 miles from the international airport, the journey time is a little over an hour.
Meals are served in either a boma out on a game drive or at the lodge; dinner is a 3-course meal often followed by drinks and socialising around the camp fire
Quills Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, situated on the ground floor of the Hotel is open daily for 24 hours serving breakfast, contemporary lunches and a la Carte dinner. South African produce is the speciality serving a variety of game meat. Matched with some outstanding local wines you are certain to leave with a lasting impression of South Africa.
The Constance Belle Mare Plage offers a wide selection of dining venues, including Indigo set at the water's edge offering views over the sea and pool, and Blue Penny Cellar the a la carte restaurant and wine cellar.
Day One
Your journey begins with an overnight British Airways flight to Johannesburg from London Heathrow.
Day Two
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, transfer onto the short domestic flight to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport in the Greater Kruger National Park. Here, a transfer will meet you to head across to the Thornybush Game Lodge where you’ll spend the next 3 nights on safari using a Luxury Suite on a Fully Inclusive basis.
Days Three to Four
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives at Thornybush on the lookout for all manner of wildlife, led by experienced guides able to follow the tracks of various animals. Guided bush walks are also possible if you’re up for the extra energy exertion and improve your chances of finding some of the smaller creatures of the bush.
Day Five
Your transfer will take you back to Eastgate airport for the short flight back to Johannesburg. On arrival here, collect your luggage and take the short walk across to the InterContinental Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Hotel. You’ll be here for the night so you could either head into the city for the evening or enjoy some fine dining in the hotel.
Day Six
Walk back across to the airport for the onward flight to Mauritius. Upon arrival, your private transfer will take you up to the east coast of the island to the Constance Belle Mare Plage, where you’ll stay for the next 7 nights in a Prestige Room with breakfast and evening meals included.
Days Seven to Twelve
Your stay at Constance Belle Mare Plage can be as exciting or relaxing as you want it to be. There are two golf courses offered by Constance Hotels, each with dining venues at them, as well as a broad selection of land and water sports and a very appealing spa. Away from the hotel you can enjoy a trek to one of the many stunning viewpoints, visit a sugar plantation or rum distillery, or take a boat trip for some wonderful snorkelling and diving opportunities.
Day Thirteen
It’s time to leave this beautiful part of the world, a private transfer will pick you up to head back to the airport where you’ll board your British Airways overnight direct flight to London Gatwick.
