St. Bartholomew's Cathedral

The Roman Catholic St. Bartholomew's Cathedral (Frankfurter Dom, or Dom St. Bartholomäus) proudly stands out against the surrounding architecture. Towering at 95 metres, it is built in a signature Gothic design and showcases rich red sandstone. This is one of very few churches that has been appointed as an Imperial Cathedral. The Römerberg sits at the centre of Frankfurt's Old Town (Altstadt), and is a popular attraction for travellers. With the Justice Fountain (Gerechtigkeitsbrunnen) in the middle of this location, this is Frankfurt's most beautiful public square.
