In the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a historic Old Town established by Spanish settlers in the 18th-century. It includes numerous adobe buildings, a plaza, and the stunning San Felipe de Neri Church built in 1793. Located in Chihuahuan Desert, Carlsbad Cavern National Park has more than one hundred limestone caves and wetlands. Visit the spectacular Carlsbad Cavern, where you can see stalagmites cling to the ceiling, or see Lechuguilla Cave, the world’s eighth-longest explored cave. At the expansive Bandelier National Monument, you can explore the homes and land of ancient Puebloan people. These pueblo buildings are believed to date back to 1150 AD. You’ll also find kivas or ceremonial structures, rock paintings, petroglyphs and a museum where you can learn more about their fascinating culture.

The Dallas Museum of Art houses an impressive collection including over 24,000 masterpieces ranging from third millennium BC to the 21st-century, covering a period of approximately 5000 years. With exhibits displaying pieces from all over the world, excellent talks and tours, as well as adult workshops available, there’s plenty to explore here.
